Yolande Green
Founder and all round Teacher
Hi I am Yolande the owner of Green Pilates Movement Studio, I have been instructing in the fitness industry for over 30 years.Â
I am qualified in many group exercise formats such as aerobics, as well as Pilates, GP referral, Exercise referral, Lower Back pain, chair based exercise, Cancer Rehabilitation and special populations such as pre and post natal and older adults.
I am also qualified in the full Comprehensive Pilates Method which includes the full range of original Pilates Apparatus and the Matwork repertoire.
I also work as a consultant writing fitness and Pilates qualifications for Training Proivders in the UK and around the world including India, Pakistan, UAE, USA, New Zealand and I am the qualifications manager for PD Approval and SPM the Society for the Pilates Method
Karen Blackburn
Pilates matwork, Pilates Apparatus and all round Teacher
Karen was a fitness enthusiast who loved Running , strength training and high intensity cardio through exercising until she damaged her spine , she was advised to rehabilitate by taking up Pilates and could not believe the results she achieved by performing low impact, muscular strength, endurance and flexibility exercises.
Karen developed a huge passion for Pilates and after having children decided on a different career path which she felt was more rewarding, she trained as a level 3 Pilates Mat Instructor and Pilates Reformer Teacher to help others achieve the health benefits that Pilates has to offer.


Amanda Crossley
Meditation teacher
I have been a meditation teacher for over 5 years now! I started for my own mental health and saw results in how it improved my anxiety that I wanted to teach it to others to help them.
I did a 6 week mindfulness course for my own practice then another 6 weeks to teach others followed by a week course for children mindfulness. In my class I use doTERRA essential oils as I find they help to deepen my practice. I start off with some breath work to settle ourselves down, then a guided meditation, ending with a lovely body scan and sound healing meditation. Everyone leaves the class feeling totally relaxed! I recently just completed my gong training and am looking forward to doing some sound healing workshops soon!
Joanne Libby
Pilates, Barre, Pilates apparatus and all round Teacher
I trained as a dancer from an early age and worked professionally as a singer and dancer for many years. I trained to teach dance in 2012 and started working as a dance teacher in 2013. In 2015 I trained to teach Barre Fitness after attending classes. I fell in love with teaching fitness and the style of exercise had greatly improved a chronic lower back problem I’d had since I was a teenager. I decided to enhance my training with a Mat Pilates course, which I completed in 2019 with YMCA. The Pilates knowledge has helped me develop my Barre classes and I now enjoy teaching various styles of dance; Pilates; and Barre. Joanne is also completing her Pilates Apparatus training.


Vanessa Blythe
Pilates and Meditation Teacher
Movement and dance has been my passion for most of my adult life. I decided to pursue my dream as a Pilates teacher and trained with Yolande. This as one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I have enjoyed developing my practice over the years so that I am able to offer different classes. It is a pleasure to share my love of movement with my students in every class.

I discovered Pilates through my mum, who has been going to Yolande’s classes for years. Seeing how much she loved it first sparked my interest, and Pilates gradually became something I wanted to explore for myself.
After leaving my 9–5 office job without really knowing what I wanted to do next, my family encouraged me to try a Pilates course. At the time, I never imagined I’d have the confidence to stand in front of a class and teach — but I decided to give it a go.
Now that I’ve completed my qualification, it’s honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done. Pilates has helped me grow so much in confidence, and I love teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, welcoming space where people can feel strong, comfortable, and confident in their bodies.


Isabel Alcon Gardner
Pilates Teacher
After a few years of working full time with horses, I found Pilates while looking after my own body. The difference it made to me was huge… and became a big part of my life. It’s helped me feel stronger, move better, and stay injury free - a feeling I am passionate about sharing with others! I love fitness and animals, and I now get the best of both worlds by working at an Equine Vet Practice while teaching Mat Pilates on the side. I am excitedly now working towards my Reformer qualification.
